For Spring/Summer I love wearing dresses, shorts and even rompers that have the sexy Pj look to them! Lots of victorian lace, ruffles, and soft pinks! There is something so sexy about wearing something so light it leaves the mind and eye guessing just a little :) Mix the look with a vintage denim jacket or even leather jacket, boyfriend cardi or even a vest to create some contrast! Make sure you are covered properly underneath all the sexy..this look could go trashy south very fast! Try sexy nude colored boy shorts and nude (no wire) bras to wear under the garment! Urban outfitters has a great line of no wire bras that work perfect for this look!

It has been raining alot in Asheville the last few days and I ain't mad :) I love the smell of mountain air after it rains and the mist above the mountain tops! It has been a true inspiration for me to just take a few seconds and look around at this beautiful lush backdrop that Bobby and I call home now :) This editorial reminds me of the mountain pixies that run wild in the rainy mountains :) lol don't we all wish! xxxoo enjoy!

This editorial makes me want to drive to the nearest deserted mountains kick off my shoes and wander :) I love the concept of "less is more" in the summer heat! Throw on your "almost nothing to it" white dress, hair in a bun and wander (don't forget your camera)!!! I love the sublte touches in the shots, very enticing :) xxoo

We have all experienced the awful fashion ER of a heel breaking on a night out on the town right? This could solve such problems :) Except Lego would have to start changing their color palette, a fashionistas wardrobe can't revolve around red, blue and yellow! Well rest assured you won't see these bad boys walking the streets anytime soon, they're technically considered works of "art"—created by Finn Stone and sold through Byard Art Gallery in England! Spring '11 is showing lots of dainty blues in printed fashions. Try wearing your blue hue in floral, stripe, or tartan patterns! Mix them with cool whites,creams and even a fun pop of red or coral to create a fun summer contrast! Try not to over due the "blue" or you might start to resemble a whole cupboard of fine china :) Try experimenting with these examples of printed blue pieces to get you started down the right blue path! xxoo

Crazy or cool? I'm loving the color palette of this cotton candy inspired hair! It's a fun way to brighten up a drab hot summer night! If you don't want to commit to an all over my little pony hair-do...try clip in extensions or putting in a few colored extensions! That will let you experiment with this fun look without the commitment :) it's just hair..you can always change it back! Have fun :) xx

// floral crowns and summer lov'n

When coming up with new designs for Hippie Headwear Spring/Summer collection..I was truly inspired by our new surroundings of Asheville, NC. The flowers are blooming in the mountains and everything is so green and lush! I've always designed my Hippie Headwear with whimsical inspirations (a cross between a 70's fashionista and pixie fairy)!! That's where I came up with the floral pixie crowns using fake flowers/wire and wrapped in hemp!! **SEE 9 BLOGS BELOW** of two sample pieces I made! Well lo and behold they are EVERYWHERE on the runways and ad campaigns for Spring/Summer! Here are a few pictures I found showing this new trend!
